Blurring the boundaries between creativity, communication and activation, Machas's mission is to give shape to your vision and to inspire people.
To mark the naming ceremony of the world’s most innovative and technologically advanced cruise ship, MSC Cruises was looking to create a monumental art installation on the surface of their latest vessel, the MSC World Europa.
Machas consulted Balich Wonder Studio, in charge of organising the ceremony in Doha, Qatar, and MSC Cruise on searching and managing the perfect artist for such a prestigious occasion.
Ouchhh Studio, with their sensational works at the crossroad of art, science and technology, was the perfect match and created a bespoke, stunning data painting installation.
The large-scale performance, Entitled AI ART OF OCEANS, saw the MSC World Europa being deconstructed and transformed with fascinating ocean and nature-inspired visuals in a highly emotional 5-minute show accompanied by a captivating musical score.
“AI ART OF OCEANS is not just an installation but a data-driven mirror of our planet and its inhabitants. The piece was created using data of oceans and global climate changes from the past 40 years, and it paints various aspects of life on Earth”, explains Ouchhh.
“AI ART OF OCEANS helps us rethink what the world is trying to tell us. The message we want to convey is to make a meaningful connection between oceans and people’s hearts.”
With a skilful combination of data, artificial intelligence, visual art and sound design, Ouchhhh used the surface of the 68 meters high cruise ship as a canvas to create a mesmerising data painting performance that truly wowed the audience.
In addition to the audiovisual performance, a series of 12 NFTs were released and auctioned to raise funds for the MSC Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation committed to environmental, development and humanitarian projects around the world, with a focus on biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and the restoration of marine ecosystems.
