Herd Wave

Hi Igor, can you tell us a bit more about “Herd Wave”?

“Herd Wave consists of both formally and thematically diverse photographs and films. The core of the project will be a mystical family portrait. Naive, simple, beautiful, somehow romantic. My children will appear in the images as part of nature, and there will be staged photographs of the mother goddess figure as well.
Those family values will be accompanied by a photographic analysis of nature, which in turn will lead to abstract forms of shapes and objects in contrast to their natural habitat. My personal interpretation of nature will be a starting point for metaphysical reflections, meditative forms and the sublimation of the picture.”

What will your formal approach be?

“I am going to experiment an erosion of light sensitive materials, which in fact means physical interference into matter”

What about the films?

“The films, just like in the previous parts of the Triptich, will be meditative observations of nature. As a part of ¨Herd Wave´´however, I intend to make a film which I define as a staged magical documentary´”.
