Pistoia-born illustrator Jonathan Calugi has left his mark in his hometown, with a bold new mural! Known for his abstract one-line style, Jonathan collaborated with local students from the Policarpo Petrocchi Art High School to create a minimalistic yet powerful artwork that transforms Piazza Sant’Atto into a vibrant cultural focal point.
The mural, characterised by its bold and clean design, showcases Calugi’s distinctive style, seamlessly combining flowing lines and geometric shapes. Its abstract composition, while simple in form, adds a contemporary and thought-provoking dimension to the public space.
For Jonathan, this project holds deep personal significance. “Art has the power to transform spaces and connect people,” he explains, reflecting on the mural’s ability to engage and inspire its audience.
This mural is just one of several projects Jonathan has recently brought to life in Pistoia. He also collaborated with Lo Spazio bookstore and Settegiorni publisher on The Cat is on the Wall exhibition, furthering his tradition of merging art and storytelling to captivate and connect communities.
